One of those “takes 15 minutes to fully get in the water cause it’s hot hot hot” baths. Muscles are sore today. Insanity kicked my ass this week. I took a rest day today because I cannot move lol. Pure cardio tomorrow!

Took 5 days off from insanity while  was on vacation and picked up where I left off tonight. Man I’m pooped. Can hardly get myself through the workout without pausing it at breaks. But I’m still doing the whole thing yes sir!!!!

Tired legs love hot baths

On my second week of insanity. Today was pure cardio. I took two days off his weekend due to my hockey tournament. I played 3 hockey games and got MVP yesterday for the game. I was too dead last night to do anything an today my legs were mush. In order to motivate myself to do the grueling pure cardio DVD I bargained with myself. 1 hour nap plus 1 hour Zumba class and I was allowed to come right home and skip the warm up/stretch part an do the last 20 minutes of the DVD. Done and done and I am now soaking in the tub with a almond butter and apple slice filled flax pita round thingy from Costco (best post cardio snack ever). My clothes were soaked and I am still sweating so mission accomplished.
Now for green tea and bed!

week 1

So week one of insanity is done.

I already notice a change in my arms and legs and my abs are sore everyday…..I have to learn to contract more during the exercises.

I have a hockey tournament all weekend so I powered through a rest day and am taking mine on Saturday (really playing 2 60 minute hockey games so its not rest) and will continue on Sunday with the program.  I am really looking forward to next week to see if any measurements changed.

I hope I can keep it up when I go to LA in my hotel room too cause it gives me some killer energy when I am done.  I did the program just now and I have Hockey practice in an hour so we will see how that effects my energy there….

I am really impressed so far, today I didn’t really feel like it but once I turned it on i was in it….so out of one week I didn’t want to do it once (after a long day working in a school setting no one would after today’s day) so that is a plus.

53 days to go hahaha

Started insanity 4 days ago. Plus went to Zumba twice this week. I have gotten away from posting on here so I figure since its the first day of spring and time to amp up my workouts and start running when the snow melts, I should start now. These past few days I have serious DOMS and have trouble walking like a regular human haha. But I haven’t felt this in awhile so I am lovin that my muscles are reacting to these new workouts. I have been walking 5k with a friend as well, soon to be running as soon as the sidewalks are not death with ice.
I am off to LA in 10 days for my spring break and am hoping to feel comfortable in summer clothes again.
as for the insanity workouts I like that it’s different and challenging. I am so tired of the gym this winter. I needed a change.
We are a small community so there are no crossfit places so this is my replacement. I am hoping to stick it out the next 60 days. Even on vacation and over this weekend. I am almost done the hockey season with our year End coming this weekend. Then it’s full on insanity and running. I love spring!!!!
